With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that many women in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't know the half of all of it. I think it's time I provided you a total photo of our street and individuals who reside on it. It will come in beneficial in the future. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
