We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, enforced on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses throughout the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your home. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that many ladies in your home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't understand the half of all of it. I believe it's time I offered you a total image of our street and the people who survive on it. It will can be found in useful later. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her partner and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time. I never talked to him, despite the fact that what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I mention him.
