We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a reservation. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had actually been just like you. Triggering to work every day, worried more about what I was going to finish with the day rather than what my neighbours would depend on. The first couple of weeks were great I. managed to get all the little jobs that accumulate done. Then in the third week, a despair started to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, enforced on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost continually when the depression set in, I started to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that most females in your home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't know the half of everything. I believe it's time I gave you a total photo of our street and the people who survive on it. It will come in helpful later. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
