With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of individuals would disrupt me now, and state that the majority of women at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this website is the separated house where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
