From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost constantly when the depression set in, I began to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of individuals would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of females at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other ladies.
