We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a 2nd idea. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and say that most women at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy deal with their 2 teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
