We have a no smoking policy in our home, enforced on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes across the street. After cigarette smoking almost continuously when the anxiety set in, I started to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and say that many ladies in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
