We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been much like you. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to do with the day instead of what my neighbours would be up to. I developed a problem with my knee. A semi-serious issue. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I could stroll, run, and climb, however it did stop me from driving, which in turn stopped me from working. I signed up with the ranks of the long-term ill, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The very first couple of weeks were great I. managed to get all the little tasks that pile up done. In the 3rd week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. I began to select up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that many ladies in the house do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you do not know the half of it all. I think it's time I offered you a total image of our street and individuals who reside on it. It will come in beneficial later. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
