From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking practically continually when the anxiety set in, I began to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat.
