We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a doubt. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been just like you. In the third week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of ladies at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you do not know the half of all of it. I believe it's time I gave you a total photo of our street and the people who live on it. It will come in helpful later on. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
