From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking nearly continuously when the depression embeded in, I started to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of females at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
