November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her partner and is in the procedure of moving.
