We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd thought. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that many ladies at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you do not understand the half of all of it. I believe it's time I offered you a total picture of our street and the people who live on it. It will be available in helpful later. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage boys. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
