We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second idea. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and say that the majority of females at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other females. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her hubby and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and dad Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself.
