From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After cigarette smoking practically continually when the depression set in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that most females at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other females. It's a extremely little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
