From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses throughout the street. I started to choose up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that most ladies at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
