From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After cigarette smoking almost continually when the depression set in, I began to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many individuals would disrupt me now, and say that many ladies at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other ladies.
