We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a 2nd idea. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. After smoking almost continually when the anxiety set in, I started to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that most ladies in the house do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not know the half of everything. I think it's time I gave you a total photo of our street and the people who survive on it. It will can be found in beneficial later. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
