We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. After smoking cigarettes almost constantly when the depression set in, I began to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most individuals would interrupt me now, and state that many females at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other ladies. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She recently separated from her spouse and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I live with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newcomers. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Naturally, whenever I spoke to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City. I never ever spoke to him, even though what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I mention him.
