We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. After smoking practically continuously when the anxiety embeded in, I began to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of females at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't know the half of all of it. I think it's time I provided you a complete image of our street and the people who reside on it. It will come in helpful later. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
