From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking nearly constantly when the anxiety embeded in, I began to discover the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat.
