All of us support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had actually been similar to you. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to make with the day instead of what my neighbours would be up to. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I could walk, run, and climb, but it did stop me from driving, and that in turn stopped me from working. I joined the ranks of the long-term sick, continued to receive my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The first few weeks were great I. managed to get all the little tasks that pile up done. Then in the 3rd week, a malaise started to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking practically continually when the depression embeded in, I started to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that most females in your home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. Then last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy deal with their 2 teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
