All of us go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. I signed up with the ranks of the long-lasting sick, continued to receive my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The first few weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little tasks that pile up done. In the third week, a despair began to sneak in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes throughout the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your home. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of women in your home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not understand the half of it all. I believe it's time I gave you a complete image of our street and the people who reside on it. It will come in useful in the future. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her spouse and is in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and papa Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. I never ever spoke to him, even though what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I mention him.
