From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes across the street. After cigarette smoking practically continuously when the depression set in, I started to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
