We have a no smoking policy in our house, enforced on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). This indicates that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly constantly when the anxiety embeded in, I started to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of women at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a extremely little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her hubby and is in the process of moving. I never spoke with him, although what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
