All of us go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a reservation. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. The first couple of weeks were great I. managed to get all the little jobs that pile up done. Then in the 3rd week, a despair started to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes throughout the street. I started to choose up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that most ladies in the house do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't understand the half of it all. I think it's time I offered you a total picture of our street and individuals who survive on it. It will come in helpful in the future. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She recently separated from her partner and remains in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I live with my mum Chrissie (45) and papa Bob (52 ). Next along are some newcomers. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Obviously, whenever I talked to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City. I never spoke to him, although what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
