All of us support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a doubt. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up till September, I had been much like you. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to make with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. Then, I developed a problem with my knee. A semi-serious issue. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I could stroll, run, and climb, however it did stop me from driving, which in turn stopped me from working. I signed up with the ranks of the long-term ill, continued to receive my paycheque, and sat and took it simple. The very first few weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little jobs that pile up done. Then in the 3rd week, a malaise began to creep in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our home, enforced on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses throughout the street. I began to choose up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many individuals would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of females at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other ladies. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her partner and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and dad Bob (52 ). Next along are some newcomers. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City. I never spoke with him, although what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I mention him.
