We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been much like you. I joined the ranks of the long-term sick, continued to receive my paycheque, and sat and took it simple. The very first few weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little jobs that pile up done. In the third week, a despair began to creep in. I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This indicates that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes practically constantly when the depression set in, I started to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of women in your home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. Then last on this website is the detached house where Steve and Mandy cope with their two teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her partner and remains in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time.
