We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, enforced on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). This suggests that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After cigarette smoking almost constantly when the anxiety set in, I started to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and say that a lot of females at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't know the half of it all. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her hubby and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I never ever talked to him, despite the fact that what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
