From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking nearly continually when the depression set in, I began to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of ladies at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other ladies. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her hubby and is in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't presented myself yet, so now would be a great time. I never spoke to him, despite the fact that what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
