We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a 2nd thought. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of ladies in your home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She recently separated from her other half and is in the procedure of moving.
