We all accompany this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a doubt. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up until September, I had actually been just like you. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking practically continuously when the anxiety set in, I began to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that the majority of ladies at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other females. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
