We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a 2nd idea. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. After smoking practically constantly when the anxiety set in, I started to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that most women in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't understand the half of all of it. I think it's time I provided you a total photo of our street and individuals who live on it. It will be available in useful later. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
