We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second idea. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that most women at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. She recently separated from her hubby and is in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and dad Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners.
