We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a 2nd thought. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that many ladies at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and after that beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
