I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that many females at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other ladies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. She recently separated from her other half and remains in the process of moving.
