November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and say that most ladies at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all).
