From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After cigarette smoking almost constantly when the depression set in, I began to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat.
