We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, enforced on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continually when the depression embeded in, I began to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that most women in the house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't know the half of everything. I think it's time I gave you a total picture of our street and the people who reside on it. It will be available in useful later. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She recently separated from her spouse and remains in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time.
