We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up till September, I had actually been just like you. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking practically continually when the depression embeded in, I began to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and say that the majority of females at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her spouse and is in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time.
