We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had actually been much like you. Triggering to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to make with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. Then, I established a problem with my knee. A semi-serious problem. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I might walk, run, and climb, however it did stop me from driving, which in turn stopped me from working. I joined the ranks of the long-term sick, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The first couple of weeks were great I. managed to get all the little tasks that pile up done. Then in the 3rd week, a despair started to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, implemented on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking practically constantly when the depression set in, I started to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that a lot of females in your home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't know the half of it all. I think it's time I offered you a complete photo of our street and individuals who survive on it. It will be available in helpful later. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
