All of us support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a reservation. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been similar to you. The very first couple of weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little jobs that accumulate done. Then in the third week, a despair started to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes practically constantly when the depression embeded in, I started to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that most females at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She recently separated from her husband and is in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and papa Bob (52 ). Next along are some newcomers. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Of course, whenever I spoke with them, I utilized terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City. I never ever talked to him, even though what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
