November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many individuals would interrupt me now, and say that many women at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other females. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy deal with their 2 teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
