I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy deal with their 2 teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
