We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been similar to you. The first couple of weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little tasks that pile up done. Then in the 3rd week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost continuously when the depression embeded in, I started to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that most women in your home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you do not know the half of it all. I believe it's time I offered you a complete photo of our street and the people who reside on it. It will can be found in beneficial later on. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
