Then in the 3rd week, a malaise started to creep in. I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I began to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, enforced on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses throughout the street. I started to choose up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that most women at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not know the half of everything. I believe it's time I offered you a complete picture of our street and the people who survive on it. It will be available in useful later. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
