All of us accompany this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been similar to you. The first couple of weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little jobs that accumulate done. Then in the 3rd week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, implemented on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost continually when the depression set in, I began to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past your home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that many women in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't understand the half of it all. I believe it's time I gave you a total image of our street and the people who live on it. It will come in useful later on. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and after that beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
