After smoking practically continuously when the anxiety set in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past your house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat.
