We all accompany this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been just like you. We have a no smoking policy in our home, enforced on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of ladies at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other females. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
