From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking nearly continually when the depression embeded in, I started to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and say that most ladies at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other ladies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her hubby and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a great time.
