After smoking cigarettes nearly constantly when the depression embeded in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy cope with their two teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. She recently separated from her hubby and remains in the process of moving.
