With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that many women at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
