We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd idea. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past your house. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that most ladies at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't know the half of it all. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
