With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and say that most ladies at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other females. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
