We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second thought. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had actually been much like you. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, imposed on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of individuals would interrupt me now, and state that many women at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other females. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She recently separated from her husband and remains in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't presented myself yet, so now would be a great time. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City. I never ever spoke to him, even though what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I mention him.
