All of us accompany this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been similar to you. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to make with the day instead of what my neighbours would be up to. Then, I developed a problem with my knee. A semi-serious problem. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I could stroll, run, and climb, but it did stop me from driving, and that in turn stopped me from working. I joined the ranks of the long-lasting sick, continued to receive my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The first couple of weeks were great I. managed to get all the little tasks that accumulate done. In the 3rd week, a malaise began to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, enforced on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses throughout the street. I started to choose up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that the majority of ladies at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't understand the half of all of it. I believe it's time I offered you a total picture of our street and individuals who survive on it. It will come in helpful later on. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her other half and remains in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and papa Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Of course, whenever I spoke to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City. I never spoke with him, even though what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
