After smoking cigarettes practically constantly when the depression set in, I started to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of individuals would interrupt me now, and say that the majority of ladies at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other women.
