We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a reservation. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our home, implemented on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This suggests that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking practically constantly when the depression set in, I started to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of females in the house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
