We have a no smoking policy in our home, imposed on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This indicates that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking practically constantly when the anxiety embeded in, I started to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies went about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of ladies in the house do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't understand the half of everything. I believe it's time I offered you a complete image of our street and the people who live on it. It will come in beneficial later. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
