We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, enforced on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After cigarette smoking almost continually when the anxiety embeded in, I started to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that many females in the house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies.
